ENTP President Anthony Durcan gave a special interview about our organization and its priorities for Harlow. See the whole interview here:




He commented that ENTP is helpful for sharing knowledge and good practices, influencing EU policy and joining EU projects. He underlined our role in Harlow development and the benefits to his town. “Because we are all new towns, we are fairly unique about our design, spatial strategy and environment… So let’s all come together and see what works best so we could get the best for our cities”, continued Mr. Durcan.

The ENTP team is glad to announce that the book "New Medinas: Towards Sustainable New Towns? - Interconnected Experiences Spanning the North and South Mediterranean" is now available (Peter Lang Edition)! This collective publication showcases the results of the New Medina project, a journey based on sharing and cooperation among cities and associations from different countries in the North and South of the Mediterranean region.

The first edition of the Labour Plus newsletter is available! ENTP, in charge of the communication of the project, presented the state-of-the-art of the activities and interviewed some relevant actors. The Development Agency of Tenerife, the Middleheessian Education Association from Marburg, and the County Council of Alt Empordà also contributed to the newsletter. You can download this first issue on the Labour Plus website.

Next seminar of the Labour Plus project, funded by the Interreg IVC Programme and focussing on the integration of minorities on the labour market, is taking place in Padua on the 3rd and 4th of June.

At the 25th of May, the exhibition ‘Zoetermeer Utopia, dreams of a city’ will be opened in the ‘Stadsmuseum Zoetermeer’. This exhibition has been jointly prepared with the INTI, the International New Towns Institute in Almere.

Zoetermeer has been a member of the ENTP for many years. The presents given to business acquaintances that have been exchanged between the ENTP members over the years will be part of the exhibition and will be displayed from May the 20th until the 2nd of July.

Last week the municipality of Nieuwegein organized a ‘Sustainable Walk’ through its city area to highlight sustainable initiatives and involve its citizens in the topic of sustainability. Along the route there were find 28 points of interest that had a certain relation with sustainability..

The next event organized in the framework of AWARD project will take place in Ljubljana on the 23rd and 24th of May 2013. The conference will be about "creative economy as a link between culture and development" including sessions about cooperation projects promoting culture and sessions about creative economy in Ljubljana. The agenda will soon be available.
